Assistant Manager (Commercial)

Job Description / Responsibility

Company Overview:

We are reputed elastic and label manufacturing company serving leading garments and textile industries in Bangladesh and abroad. To support our growing operations, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced professional for the position of Assistant Manager – Commercial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle all commercial activities including import & export documentation.
  • Prepare and manage L/C (Local & Foreign), UD, EXP, IP, and related documents.
  • Coordinate with banks, customs, C&F agents, shipping lines, and suppliers.
  • Ensure timely clearance of imported raw materials and delivery of exported goods.
  • Maintain proper records of commercial documents and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor shipment schedules and ensure on-time execution.
  • Support cost control and negotiation with vendors and service providers.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant trade laws, customs rules, and company policies.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
  • Bachelor of Commerce (BCom)
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or related discipline.
  • Professional training in commercial/import-export operations will be an advantage.

Experience Requirements

  • 5 to 7 year(s)
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Manufacturing (FMCG), Garments, Garments Accessories

Additional Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of import/export procedures and documentation.
  • Familiar with Bangladesh customs, bonded warehouse, and EPZ/Non-EPZ procedures.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Email).

Experience:

  • Minimum 5–7 years of practical experience in commercial department.
  • Prior experience in elastic, label, accessories, or garments manufacturing industry will be highly preferred.
