Job Summary:
The HR Specialist is responsible for supporting the Human Resources department with day-to-day HR operations, with a primary focus on accurate and timely payroll processing and maintaining employee records. This role requires a meticulous eye for detail, strong adherence to confidentiality, and a foundational knowledge of Bangladeshi labor laws and tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process Monthly Payroll: Assist in the end-to-end processing of monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy in salary calculations, allowances, deductions, and tax withholding.

• Time & Attendance: Collect, verify, and reconcile employee attendance, leave records, and overtime data for payroll input.

• Compliance: Ensure payroll processes and deductions (e.g., income tax, Provident Fund, Gratuity, where applicable) are compliant with Bangladesh Labor Law and relevant government regulations.

• Payment & Reporting: Prepare pay sheets/vouchers and coordinate with the Finance Department for on-time salary disbursement (bank transfer or other methods). Generate payroll-related reports for management.

• Query Resolution: Act as the first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding salary, deductions, and payment issues, resolving them promptly and professionally.

• Data Management: Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS/database, including new hires, transfers, promotions, terminations, and changes in compensation or personal data.

• Onboarding/Offboarding: Assist with the administrative tasks of the employee lifecycle, including new hire documentation and clearance procedures for departing employees.

• Benefits Administration: Support the administration of basic employee benefits (e.g., leave, medical insurance, mobile allowance, etc.).

• Policy Support: Assist in communicating HR policies and procedures to employees and ensuring consistent application across the organization.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a recognized university.

• Experience: 1-2 years of proven experience in an HR role, with direct, hands-on experience in
monthly payroll processing

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and complex formula creation for payroll calculation is highly desired). Familiarity with HRIS/Payroll software is a strong advantage.
