Reports to: Principal Project Manager

Primary Purpose of the Position

To support as Resident Engineer to oversee design implementation and installation of MEP related services in on-going project and upcoming projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement the designed Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing & Fire related facilities and systems

  • Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks

  • Direct and coordinate construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and client's requirements

  • Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish construction and installation standards and specifications

  • Plan and implement methodologies and procedures to apply principles of design to the project

  • Prepare BoQ & specifications as per the design and the drawings

  • Supervise and train project team members as necessary

  • Oversee project construction and ensure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time and within budget

  • Prepare and study technical drawings, specifications of systems, and site conditions to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements.

  • Develop budgets, estimate labor, material, and construction costs.

  • Conduct field surveys and study maps, graphs, diagrams, and other data to identify and correct system problems.

  • Maintain a high level of integrity and discipline with a strong work ethic.

  • Ensures project compliance with requirements based on Quality, Health and Safety, and Environmental management systems standards by coordinating with the QC & Safety Officer Representatives at site.

  • Responsible for all construction activities related to MEPF.

  • Follow-up project works with Project Manager & other Engineers.

  • Attend progress meeting with the Project Manager and be responsible for the compliance of what have been discussed & given instruction by the PM for the actual implementation of the project.

  • Responsible for the coordination to other discipline for the execution of the works.

  • Responsible for the Testing & commissioning of all Equipment Installed.

  • Coordination to sub-contractors for the special system and equipment for testing & commissioning witness by clients.

  • Prepares test reports for submission to the clients.

  • Drawing reading capability, on-site improvisation & team coordination

  • Quality, professionalism, technical innovation and excellence

  • Project delivery to meet client's Terms of Reference (TOR)

  • Reporting to meet project and internal requirements

Key Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • BSc. in Mechanical Engineering from any reputed university

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in on-site supervision work

  • Strong leadership and analytical skills

  • Effective communication and organizational skills

  • Good interpersonal and people management skills

  • Have proficiency with MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint.

  • Technical drawing skills in AutoCAD [Revit would be plus point]
