Junior Executive-IT

Job Description / Responsibility

  • Hardware Maintenance: Troubleshooting and repairing desktops, laptops, printers (thermal and laser), and scanners. In a hospital, ensuring barcode scanners and label printers work is vital for lab and pharmacy accuracy.
  • Networking Fundamentals: Knowledge of LAN/WAN setup, Wi-Fi configuration (for both staff and patients), and basic troubleshooting of routers/switches.
  • Hospital Management Information System (HMIS): Experience—or a quick ability to learn—software used for patient registration, billing, and electronic medical records (EMR).
  • 24/7 Availability Awareness: Readiness to handle "on-call" duties, as IT failures in the OT (Operation Theater) or Emergency department can be life-critical.
  • Patience & Empathy They will support medical staff who are busy saving lives and may be frustrated by tech issues.
  • Quick Problem Solving In an emergency, a 10-minute delay in a system fix can delay patient treatment.
  • Clear Communication Ability to explain technical fixes in simple Bangla/English to non-technical medical staff.
  • Stress Management Hospitals are loud and fast-paced; the candidate must remain calm under pressure.
  • Data Backup: Execute regular data backup procedures to ensure patient records are protected and recoverable.
  • End-User Training: Assist doctors, nurses, and administrative staff in using hospital software and basic office applications (MS Office).

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science
