About the role

We're looking for a senior front-end engineer who lives and breathes experimentation. You'll turn hypotheses into high-quality, performant A/B/N tests and feature flags across Shopify, WooCommerce, and custom stacks. You'll partner with CRO strategists, designers, and analysts to ship more tests, faster—without sacrificing quality, accessibility, or data integrity.

What you'll do

  • Build & ship experiments:
    Implement client-side and server-side tests (A/B, MVT, personalization) using platforms like Optimizely, VWO, AB Tasty, Kameleoon, or Adobe Target.
  • Own the variant code:
    Write clean, resilient HTML/CSS/JavaScript/TypeScript that integrates with complex storefronts (SPA/MPA), CDNs, and tag managers.
  • Data & analytics:
    Define events, implement robust tracking via GA4/BigQuery, Mixpanel/Amplitude, Segment, and GTM/Tealium; validate data before/after launch.
  • Quality at speed:
    Establish QA plans; test across devices, browsers, breakpoints; guard CLS/LCP; maintain accessibility (WCAG 2.1+) and SEO signals.
  • Velocity & governance:
    Build a reusable snippets/pattern library; create checklists, templates, and CI linting to accelerate safe releases.
  • Debug & harden:
    Solve edge-case DOM/rendering issues, SPA route changes, hydration conflicts, race conditions, CSP, and cookie/consent constraints.
  • Partner & mentor:
    Collaborate with CRO strategists and designers; mentor mid/junior devs; review PRs; contribute to estimation and scoping.
  • Operate responsibly:
    Respect privacy and compliance (GDPR, CCPA, PDPL); document experiments and change logs; de-risk rollouts with flags and canaries.

    Optimizely (Web/Full-Stack), VWO, AB Tasty, Kameleoon, convert, LaunchDarkly/Flagsmith
  • Web stack:
    JavaScript/TypeScript, modern DOM APIs, ; or Vue/Nuxt; Shopify (Liquid), WooCommerce (PHP), headless storefronts
  • Analytics & DX:
    GA4 + BigQuery, Mixpanel/Amplitude, Segment, GTM/Tealium, Hotjar/FullStory, Lighthouse, WebPageTest
  • Tooling:
    Git/GitHub, CI (GitHub Actions), ESLint/Prettier, webpack/Vite/Rollup

What you'll need (Must-haves)

  • 4–7+ years front-end engineering, including
    2+ years dedicated A/B test development
    on high-traffic sites.
  • Advanced
    JavaScript/TypeScript
    and
    CSS
    (modern layout, animation, specificity, and isolation strategies).
  • Proven delivery with at least one major experimentation platform (Optimizely/VWO/AB Tasty/Kameleoon/Target).
  • Deep knowledge of
    tag management
    , data layers, event design, and
    GA4
    implementation.
  • Strong cross-browser/mobile QA skills; familiarity with performance metrics (LCP/CLS/INP) and how tests affect them.
  • Comfort reading server logs/network waterfalls and debugging SPA routing/hydration issues.
  • Excellent written documentation and stakeholder communication.
