Job Description / Responsibility

Clinical & Patient Care:

• Provide medical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to patients in the dialysis unit, emergency department, and critical care areas.
• Supervise and manage dialysis patients before, during, and after dialysis sessions.
• Monitor high-risk and critically ill patients and initiate appropriate medical interventions.
• Review patient history, investigations, and treatment plans regularly.

Critical Care Management:

• Manage critically ill patients including hemodynamic instability, sepsis, electrolyte imbalance, respiratory distress, and altered consciousness.
• Initiate and monitor emergency life-saving measures as per protocol.
• Coordinate with consultants for advanced critical care decision-making and referrals.

Emergency Management:

• Handle medical emergencies including cardiac arrest, shock, hypertensive crisis, hypoglycemia, acute pulmonary edema, and dialysis-related emergencies.
• Lead and participate in CPR and emergency response activities as per hospital guidelines.
• Ensure timely stabilization and referral of emergency patients when required.

Dialysis Center Responsibilities:

• Supervise dialysis procedures in coordination with nephrologists and nursing staff.
• Manage dialysis-related complications such as hypotension, cramps, bleeding, access-related issues, and allergic reactions.
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control standards in the dialysis unit.

Supervision & Team Coordination:

• Supervise Junior RMOs, nurses, PCA, and other support staff.
• Ensure proper duty roster implementation and smooth patient flow.
• Provide clinical guidance and on-job training to junior medical and nursing staff.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Ensure accurate medical documentation, progress notes, and emergency records.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and medico-legal documentation.
• Report critical incidents and adverse events to hospital authority.

Quality, Safety & Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to hospital policies, clinical protocols, and ethical standards.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement activities, and emergency drills.
• Maintain infection control, patient safety, and risk management practices.

Administrative & Other Duties:

• Coordinate with hospital administration for operational requirements of the dialysis center.
• Participate in on-call duties and shift-based services as per hospital policy.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the management for effective patient care and service delivery.

Accountability:

• Accountable to the Medical Superintendent / Head of Clinical Services for clinical performance, emergency management, and departmental functioning.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(MBBS)
• Valid registration with the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC)
• Skills Required: Hospital management, Leadership and teamwork, Emergency patient management, communication and interpersonal skill.

Experience Requirements

• At least 2 year(s)
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
• NGO,Hospital

• Knowledge of dialysis protocols and complications management.
• Leadership and team management skills.

• Regular duty hours as per hospital policy.
• On-call duties as per departmental and emergency service requirements.
• Exposure to dialysis center, emergency, and critical care clinical environments requiring strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
