Senior Merchandiser (Knit & Woven)

Job Description / Responsibility

  • Maintain all relevant merchandising communication, order files, reports etc.
  • Monitoring for individual orders from beginning to shipment and ensuring orders are delivered on time with quality.
  • Develop new samples as per buyer`s standard, specification & quality and maintain on-time submission.
  • Arrange Fabrics and Trims for new sample development.
  • Work with Trims suppliers to ensure the right quality and on-time delivery.
  • Maintain all approval processes of production.
  • Communicate with the buyer for the approval process.
  • Monitor and follow up daily production activities as per production.
  • Follow up & Coordination with Production, Quality, and Commercial Department.
  • Maintain required database and prepare required reports and presentations.
  • Perform all other jobs assigned by Line Manager/Department Head.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor/Honors
  • Masters
  • Bachelor/Masters in Textile Engineering or BBA/MBA in Apparel Merchandising from a reputed university.
  • Skills Required: Merchandising, Product Development, Garments Merchandising, Garments Costing, Knowledge of both Knit and Woven garment manufacturing

Experience Requirements

  • At least 4 year(s)
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
  • Garments,Buying House

Additional Requirements

  • The candidate should be technically sound in the Garments (Knit & Woven) costing & manufacturing process.
  • Work experience with reputed buying houses will get preference.
  • Excellent communication (written/verbal) & presentation skills.
  • Product development and execution of orders.
  • Strong analytical & leadership ability and work as a strategic thinker.
  • Positive work ethics and results-oriented for assigned responsibilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
