Job Summary
Captured Tales is seeking a skilled and creative
On-site Video Editor
to manage the end-to-end editing process for short-form digital video content. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of storytelling, timing, and visual aesthetics, with the ability to turn raw footage into high-quality, platform-optimized videos.
Key Responsibilities
- Review raw footage and select the most engaging and high-quality clips from multiple takes.
- Perform professional color correction and color grading using DaVinci Resolve to ensure a consistent and cinematic visual style.
- Structure and assemble selected clips into a clear, engaging, and well-paced timeline.
- Draft voiceover scripts optimized for humor, engagement, and short-form platform performance.
- Edit videos in sync with finalized voiceovers recorded by creators or influencers.
- Enhance videos with appropriate transitions, filters, sound effects, visual effects, and professionally styled on-screen captions.
- Design high-quality 9:16 reel thumbnails optimized for Instagram Reels, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines.
- Ensure all content is optimized for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and other short-form video platforms.
Monthly Deliverables
- 48 to 52 professionally edited vertical reels per month
- Reel duration between 40 to 90 seconds
- Content optimized for performance on short-form platforms
Content Types
- Influencer skits and storytelling reels
- Food vlogs and street content
- Podcast clips and short-form highlights
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or CapCut Pro
- Strong thumbnail design skills using tools such as Photoshop or Canva
- Experience editing content for Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube-style formats
- Strong sense of storytelling, pacing, and visual composition
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle fast turnaround times
Preferred Skills (Bonus)
- Experience with motion graphics and sound synchronization
- Strong understanding of meme culture and viral content timing
