Womenswear Designer

Jawda is a premium modest fashion brand founded in London, with a global customer base and ambitious growth plans for the year ahead. As part of this expansion, we have invested in a new manufacturing facility in
Dhaka, Bangladesh
.

We are now looking for a Designer to join our growing team in Dhaka, working closely with the Founder to design new garments while also preparing them for production through detailed tech packs, CADs, and factory-ready documentation.

--The Role--

We're looking for a hybrid designer and a technical product developer who can both design garments and prepare them for factory production.

You'll be involved in the creative design process while also owning the technical side, translating designs into clear tech packs, CADs, and instructions that our factory teams can execute accurately.

As you will be joining a small tight-knit team, this is a hands-on, factory-based role working closely with sampling, cutting, QC, and operations.

--Key Responsibilities--

Design & Concept Development

• Design new styles aligned with Jawda's modest aesthetic
• Develop silhouettes, details, trims, and fabric choices suitable for production
• Create sketches, flats, and CADs for new designs
• Adapt designs based on fabric availability, costing, and production feasibility
• Contribute to seasonal collections and capsule drops

Technical & Product Development

• Create detailed
  tech packs
  (measurements, stitching, construction, trims, grading)
• Translate designs into
  production-ready documentation
• Support sampling, fittings, and design revisions
• Update tech packs based on fit feedback and sample outcomes
• Ensure size consistency and grading accuracy

--Required Skills & Experience--

• 2–4 years experience in
  Fashion Design, Garment Design, or Product Development
• Proven ability to both
  design garments
  and
  prepare tech packs
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator (CADs & flats) and tech pack documentation
• Comfortable designing
  modest wear
  (abayas, dresses, sets)
• Practical, detail-oriented, and production-aware
• Clear communicator who can work closely with factory teams
