The Bangladesh Bar Council is a statutory autonomous body established under the Bangladesh Legal Practitioners and Bar Council Order, 1972. It serves as the licensing and regulatory authority for all Advocates in Bangladesh. Governed by 15 members, including the Attorney General as an ex-officio Chairman, the council ensures the quality and standards of legal practice within the country. It oversees various standing committees such as the Executive Committee, Finance Committee, and Legal Education Committee. The organization is dedicated to upholding the integrity and professionalism of the legal profession in Bangladesh.

Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Legal Advocate. The Legal Advocate will oversee legal matters including providing legal advice, drafting and reviewing contractual agreements, and handling various legal affairs. The role also requires active participation in negotiations on behalf of the council while ensuring compliance with legal standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include consulting clients, analyzing legal documents, and advising on regulatory and compliance matters.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Law and Legal Affairs
• Proven experience in providing Legal Advice and Negotiation
• Proficiency in drafting and reviewing Contractual Agreements
• Comprehensive understanding of regulatory and compliance matters
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Bachelor's degree in Law or a related field; a professional license to practice as an Advocate is required
• Prior experience with a legal or regulatory body is an advantage
