PHP Developer

Job Context
We are looking for a motivated PHP developer to join our growing team. In this role, you will work on SaaS applications, develop custom features and modules, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable solutions.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain web applications using PHP (Laravel/CodeIgniter or other frameworks).
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code.
• Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Work with databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) for efficient data management.
• Participate in code reviews, team discussions, and sprint planning.
• Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and best practices.

Skill Requirements

• Proficiency in PHP: Strong understanding of PHP and its frameworks.
• Experience with Laravel Framework: Deep knowledge of Laravel features like Eloquent ORM, Blade templating, routing, and middleware.
• Front-end Technologies: Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and libraries like , React, or Angular for front-end development.
• Database Management: Expertise in working with databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB, including designing schemas and optimizing queries.
• RESTful API Development: Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs, including authentication (OAuth, JWT).
• Version Control: Proficiency in Git for version control and collaboration with teams.
• Object-Oriented Programming (OOP): Strong understanding of OOP principles and design patterns (MVC, SOLID principles).
• Testing and Debugging: Knowledge of testing frameworks (PHPUnit, Dusk) and debugging tools to ensure code quality.
• Security Best Practices: Familiarity with web security measures, such as protection against SQL injection, XSS, and CSRF attacks.
• Command Line Tools: Experience with Laravel Artisan command-line tools for development efficiency.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of professional experience in Laravel and PHP development.
• Strong experience with Laravel features like Eloquent ORM, BladeTemplate, Routing, and Middleware.
• Proficiency in building and consuming RESTful APIs with Laravel.
• Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), MVC architecture, and SOLID principles.
• Hands-on experience with Git for version control and collaboration in a team environment.
• Experience with Laravel security best practices to prevent SQL injection, XSS, and CSRF attacks.
• Portfolio or live project links required (GitHub, Bitbucket, or similar).

Additional Requirements

• Must be comfortable working onsite at our Dhaka office (no remote or hybrid options).
• Experience in , React, or Angular for frontend development (preferred but not mandatory).
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Ability to integrate third-party APIs such as payment gateways, cloud storage, and external services.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, or DevOps practices is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and optimize Laravel applications.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
