We are looking for a Manager, Policy Governance & Risk Management to support the Chief Anti Money Laundering Compliance Officer (CAMLCO) and Central Compliance Unit (CCU) in strengthening BRAC's safeguards against money laundering and terrorist financing risks. The incumbent will lead the implementation of internal and external policies, conduct enterprise-level risk assessments, identify and mitigate compliance risks, and enhance governance structures. It also contributes to building staff capacity to ensure strong ethical practices and consistent regulatory compliance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Anti-Money Laundering (AML)/Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) strategies by aligning with BRAC's mission and operational goals to ensure compliance with national and international regulations.
  • Drive compliance with AML/CFT policies by conducting risk assessments, overseeing KYC procedures, client/partner screening, and monitoring transactions to detect and prevent suspicious activities.
  • Perform enterprise risk assessments for clients, products, services, and geographies, and evaluate new services or technologies for AML/CFT risk impact.
  • Monitor regulatory changes from BFIU and other relevant authorities, revising internal policies and procedures proactively to maintain compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Strengthen governance and control mechanisms by evaluating compliance testing, addressing gaps, and implementing preventive measures to reduce potential risks.
  • Conduct policy review meetings and provide timely updates to CCU to ensure organizational alignment with AML/CFT requirements.
  • Integrate a risk-based approach into all compliance operations to ensure proactive risk identification and mitigation.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to embed compliance considerations into strategic decision-making and align with organizational priorities and risk management frameworks.

Additional Job Requirements:

  • Comprehensive understanding of local and international AML/CFT regulations and best practices.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute compliance strategies in complex and dynamic environments.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.

Educational Requirements:

Graduation in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Any related course on Prevention of AML/CFT will be an added advantage.

Experience Requirements:

Minimum 4 years of experience in AML/CFT compliance-related activities, also dealing with external authorities, will be given preference.
