Zarla is on a mission to help small businesses look like big brands and win more customers online - without the high costs or complexity of traditional web design. Our AI-powered website builder already creates hundreds of small business sites every day, but we want to take our design quality from "great" to "world-class."

We're looking for a talented and visionary designer who can make small businesses look like stellar brands, crafting websites that don't just look amazing but convert visitors into calls, bookings, and customers.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead the visual design of AI-generated websites - refining layouts, color palettes, typography, and imagery so every Zarla site feels unique, professional, and conversion-focused.
  • Design with purpose - ensuring every site you touch is built to generate leads, phone calls, and bookings for our customers.
  • Elevate small business branding - making a one-person operation look and feel like an established, trustworthy brand.
  • Own Zarla's visual identity - working on our own marketing website, product UI, and brand assets to ensure consistency and impact across all touchpoints.
  • Create marketing collateral - from social media visuals to sales presentations, landing pages, and email templates.
  • Collaborate with product & marketing teams - bringing creative ideas to life, testing new design directions, and shaping the future look of our platform.

What We're Looking For:
  • Proven experience designing small business websites that drive real results - ideally in service-based industries.
  • Exceptional visual design skills with an eye for detail, typography, spacing, and brand consistency.
  • Strong UX/UI understanding - you know how to balance aesthetics with usability and conversion.
  • Brand storyteller - able to translate a small business owner's personality and strengths into a visual identity that builds trust.
  • Versatility - comfortable designing for web, marketing campaigns, and product interfaces.
  • Proficiency in industry tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Webflow/Wix/Squarespace or similar).
  • Portfolio showcasing high-quality, conversion-focused designs for small businesses.

Bonus Points For:
  • Experience designing within or alongside AI-powered tools.
  • Understanding of responsive design best practices and accessibility standards.
  • Familiarity with lead generation principles, landing page optimization, and SEO-friendly design.
