Junior Research Analyst for Sustainable Development

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is a global development network of the United Nations that works to eradicate poverty and reduce inequalities through the sustainable use of resources. UNDP helps countries develop policies, leadership skills, partnerships, and innovative solutions.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Junior Research Analyst to join our team in Bangladesh. The successful candidate will assist in delivering research and analytics tasks to support informed decision-making and contribute to national policy development efforts.

• Conduct research on economic trends, market conditions, and investment opportunities in Bangladesh.
• Analyze data from diverse sources to support informed decision-making.
• Prepare clear and concise reports summarizing findings, investment ideas, and policy recommendations.
• Collect, organize, and analyze data to support research projects.
• Produce briefing notes and write-ups on sectoral investment.
• Prepare presentations to effectively communicate research findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Assist with ongoing project activities related to investment promotion, policy development, or economic analysis.

To be successful in this role, you should have strong analytical and research skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

• Enrolled in the final academic year or graduated with a degree in Economics, Business Administration, International Business, Development Studies, or any relevant social science subject.
• Ability to analyze economic data and draw meaningful conclusions.
• Proficiency in conducting research using various sources and methodologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present findings effectively.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant tools.
