Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Communications Officer to join our Regional Communications team, covering Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Nepal. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing communications strategies aligned with business priorities, as well as providing strategic advice to internal clients and teams. Key responsibilities include building and nurturing networks of contacts with key audiences, driving strategic communications partnerships, and conceptualizing and supervising the preparation of communication products for both internal and external use.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and execute communications strategies aligned with business priorities

* Build and nurture network of contacts with key audiences – media, corporate executives, civil society, donor representatives, academia and think-tanks, government bodies, the World Bank Group, and other international organizations as needed

* Drive and oversee strategic communications partnerships to amplify IFC's voice, notably by positioning the Country Manager

* Conceptualize and supervise the preparation, production, and dissemination of communication products (stories of impact, news releases, op-eds, blog posts, speeches, presentations, briefing notes, online and social media content, thought leadership pieces, issue briefs, talking points, presentations, Q&As, and reactive messaging/holding statements) for both internal and external use, as well as client-facing collaterals and internal staff engagement content

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have a Master's degree in Communications, Journalism, Political Science, International Relations, Public Affairs, Marketing, Business/Finance, with 8-10 years of experience in corporate communications, international relations, government relations, public affairs, political science, or another related field. You must also possess strong verbal and written communications skills, be fluent in English and Bengali, and have demonstrated media management experience and ability to quickly activate or develop personal networks of contacts if selected for the role. Knowledge of design tools, website design, content management, and media and social media monitoring tools is a plus.
