Multifaceted Communication Strategist

As a key member of the United Nations Population Fund team in Bangladesh, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multifaceted Communication Strategist. This role is critical to implementing our corporate communications strategy and driving forward our mission to promote public and media outreach, mobilize support for UNFPA, and influence the development agenda.

The successful candidate will lead our country office's communication efforts, developing and implementing effective strategies to elevate our profile and amplify our impact. You will work closely with the Representative, programme teams, and external partners to create and disseminate compelling advocacy and knowledge products that showcase our work and promote progress towards achieving our transformative results.

• Develop and implement innovative communication strategies that align with our corporate mandate, leveraging digital platforms, social media, and other channels to reach new audiences and stakeholders.
• Craft engaging and concise messaging that effectively communicates our mission, values, and achievements to diverse stakeholders, including policymakers, donors, and the general public.
• Collaborate with programme units to develop evidence-based advocacy strategies that amplify our impact and drive meaningful change.
• Create and manage online content, including website updates, blog posts, and social media campaigns, to engage users and foster dialogue.
• Provide expert advice on communication components in programme formulations to integrate advocacy and communication strategies into all aspects of our development programme.

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in advocacy and online communications, web publishing, electronic networks, or related fields.
• Proven track record of developing and managing successful online applications and campaigns that drive engagement and impact.
• Excellent English language writing and editing skills, with fluency in one or more official UN languages desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to think analytically and strategically, with a strong understanding of the role of communication in driving organizational success.
• Experience working in multicultural and web-based environments, with a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
