Drive high-quality field operations through effective team coordination and stakeholder engagement. We are looking for a dynamic professional for the role of Deputy Manager, Research & Field Operations to ensure consistent and high-quality execution across destinations, B2B trips, festivals, day trips and other tourism experiences, while strengthening guest experience, community engagement and operational efficiency. The role will also contribute to research, destination development and product improvement.

Key responsibilities
• Manage field operations across Otithi destinations by planning and coordinating B2B trips, festivals, day trips, and other experiences while ensuring appropriate resources, schedules, and operational readiness.
• Ensure smooth and consistent trip execution by coordinating with Area Managers, Assistant Area Managers, guides, community partners, vendors, and other field stakeholders, resolving operational issues on time, and monitoring customer feedback, service standards, field performance, and operational risks.
• Strengthen field capacity and operational readiness by supporting the onboarding, training, and development of Area Managers, Assistant Area Managers, guides, and other relevant field resources.
• Manage community and destination-level partnerships by engaging and communicating with local stakeholders and coordinating community welfare, development, and impact initiatives across Otithi destinations.
• Coordinate operational and financial planning for trips and destinations by supporting costing and COGS planning, monitoring field-level expenses and settlements, and analysing cost variances to improve efficiency and product margins.
• Customise and improve Otithi products and itineraries by incorporating client requirements, destination capacity, operational feasibility, guest feedback, and field learning into pricing and experience design.
• Support new destination and product development by conducting field assessments, destination research, and community consultations, analysing market and guest insights, contributing to feasibility assessments, itinerary development, pricing, and pilot experiences, and identifying and testing new experience formats.
• Ensure responsible and ethical tourism practices by integrating safeguarding, cultural sensitivity, informed participation, privacy, community dignity, responsible use of cultural knowledge, and environmental responsibility into field operations. Safeguarding

Responsibilities:
• Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation, and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation, including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
• Practice, promote, and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members, and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
• Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so. Additional Job

Requirements:
• Undertake frequent field travel to support destination operations, with increased or back-to-back travel during peak seasons, major B2B operations and festivals.

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing, Management, Operations, or a related discipline from a reputed institution. Experience

Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in field operations, event management, large-scale project or programme coordination, customer experience management, or related functions.
