Rebel Force builds reliable, scalable software products for clients around the world. We’re looking for a Mid-Level Backend Developer who enjoys solving problems, writing clean APIs and growing within a collaborative engineering team.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using NestJS and Node.js (Express)
• Design database schemas and write efficient queries
• Integrate third-party services, payment gateways and external APIs
• Work closely with frontend developers to define and deliver API contracts
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code
• Debug, troubleshoot and improve the performance of existing systems
• Take part in code reviews, sprint planning and technical discussions
• Document APIs and backend processes Requirements
• 2–4 years of professional backend development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with NestJS (modules, providers, guards, interceptors, pipes)
• Solid experience with Node.js and Express.js
• Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript (ES6+)
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
• Familiarity with ORMs/ODMs such as TypeORM, Prisma or Mongoose
• Understanding of authentication and authorization (JWT, OAuth, role-based access)
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs
• Comfortable with Git and collaborative development workflows
• Good problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
• Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal Nice to Have
• Experience with Redis, message queues (RabbitMQ, BullMQ, Kafka) or microservices
• Knowledge of Docker and basic cloud deployment (AWS, GCP, DigitalOcean)
• Experience with GraphQL or WebSockets
• Experience writing unit and integration tests (Jest, Supertest)
• Familiarity with API documentation tools (Swagger/OpenAPI)
