• Plan, organize, supervise, and control all maintenance activities of the automobile workshop.
• Ensure maximum availability, reliability, and operational efficiency of all workshop machinery, equipment, tools, and utility systems.
• Develop and implement preventive, predictive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance programs.
• Ensure minimum equipment downtime and uninterrupted workshop operations.
• Establish maintenance standards, procedures, and SOPs for all critical equipment and facilities. Electrical Maintenance
• Supervise and ensure proper maintenance of all electrical systems, equipment, and installations within the workshop.
• Monitor and maintain electrical panels, distribution boards, motors, wiring, lighting systems, compressors, generators, UPS, and other electrical equipment.
• Ensure timely troubleshooting and rectification of electrical faults and breakdowns.
• Monitor electrical load, energy consumption, and overall electrical system efficiency.
• Ensure proper earthing, electrical protection, and electrical safety practices. Mechanical Maintenance Ensure proper maintenance of vehicle lifts, air compressors, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, washing equipment, wheel alignment machines, wheel balancing machines, tire equipment, body shop equipment, and other workshop machinery.
• Supervise & Monitor the maintenance team
• Conduct root cause analysis of recurring mechanical failures and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Ensure proper lubrication, servicing, calibration, inspection, and replacement of mechanical components.
• Maintain critical machinery and equipment in safe and operational condition. Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance
• Prepare and implement daily, weekly, monthly, and annual preventive maintenance schedules.
• Monitor Preventive Maintenance Compliance and ensure scheduled maintenance is completed on time.
• Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and minimize equipment downtime.
• Maintain detailed breakdown history and analyze recurring equipment failures. Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective/Preventive Action (CAPA) for major breakdowns.
• Monitor equipment availability, MTBF, MTTR, and maintenance performance. Workshop Equipment Management
• Maintain an updated asset/equipment register with maintenance history.
• Ensure all workshop equipment remains operational, safe, and properly maintained.
• Ensure regular inspection, servicing, calibration, and certification of critical workshop equipment where applicable.
• Identify obsolete, inefficient, or frequently failing equipment and recommend repair, replacement, or upgrading. Requirements
