FPGA-Board Project — Hardware Engineering | Nybsys, Dhaka, Bangladesh
Location Dhaka, Bangladesh (Mirpur)
Department Hardware / RF Engineering
Experience Level Mid-Level (3–6 years)
Reports To Hardware Engineering Lead
About Nybsys
Nybsys designs and deploys LTE/5G RAN, small cell, and IoT connectivity solutions, built on FPGA
- and SoC-based RF and baseband platforms. The Dhaka engineering team supports hardware development, bring-up, and field performance work across this product line.
About the Role
We're looking for a mid-level FPGA Engineer to join a RF project. The FPGA-Board is an interface board used during development and validation of Nybsys's small cell and RF platforms, bridging baseband, RF, and peripheral subsystems for hardware bring-up and test. You'll own FPGA logic design, bring-up support, and validation for this board, working closely with hardware, RF, and firmware engineers.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and verify FPGA RTL (Verilog/VHDL) for FPGA-board interface and protocol-bridging logic
• Support bring-up, integration, and lab validation of the FPGA-Board and connected subsystems
• Debug interface-level hardware/firmware issues using JTAG, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and protocol analyzers
• Interface FPGA logic with baseband SoC and RF transceiver subsystems
• Collaborate with PCB/hardware design and RF teams on the pin mapping, and signal integrity
• Develop and maintain test benches, verification plans, and bring-up/validation documentation
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) test coverage and production validation for FPGA-Board functionality
• Participate in design reviews; provide technical input on interface architecture and timing budgets
• Package and escalate hardware/firmware defects with structured evidence (logs, waveforms, register dumps) Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
• 3–6 years of hands-on FPGA design experience
• Strong working proficiency in Verilog and/or VHDL
• Experience with Xilinx (Vivado) FPGA toolchains
• Solid grasp of digital design fundamentals: timing closure, clock domain crossing (CDC), synchronous/asynchronous FIFOs, finite state machines
• Hands-on experience with standard interface protocols — SPI, I2C, UART — plus at least one higher-speed protocol such as PCIe, JESD204B, or Ethernet (MII/RGMII/SGMII)
• Practical lab bring-up and debug
skills:
oscilloscope, logic analyzer, JTAG/boundary-scan tools
• Ability to read schematics and work closely with hardware/PCB teams Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in telecom/RAN hardware — baseband, RF front-end, or small cell/femtocell platforms
• Familiarity with Qualcomm FSM/FTR chipset families or comparable SoC + RF transceiver architectures
• Exposure to SDR (Software-Defined Radio) design or fronthaul protocols such as CPRI/OBSAI
• Scripting (Python or TCL) for bring-up automation and test tooling
• Working knowledge of 3GPP LTE or 5G NR system concepts
• Experience with signal integrity analysis on high-speed digital boards Soft Skills & Working Style
• Clear, structured communication across hardware, RF, and firmware teams
• Methodical, evidence-based approach to debugging
• Comfortable working independently with periodic coordination with global/remote teams
• Strong documentation habits for design decisions, test results, and defect reports Location & Logistics Nybsys Bangladesh — House 3, Road 8, Block C, Section 6, Mirpur, Dhaka-1216. On-site role; lab access required for hardware bring-up work. Compensation & Benefits
· Competitive salary and performance-based incentives.
· Professional growth through training, learning, and development programs.
· Collaborative and inclusive work environment.
· Two-day weekend.
· Government Holidays.
· Partially Subsidized Lunch.
· Annual office tour/picnic.
· Two Eid festival bonuses.
· Tea / Coffee and evening snacks.
