Role Description

This is a full-time remote position as a Senior Oracle Database Administrator. The role entails managing and maintaining Oracle databases to ensure optimal performance, stability, and security. Responsibilities include monitoring database performance, executing regular maintenance tasks, troubleshooting database issues, implementing replication strategies, and ensuring compliance with data security standards. The candidate will also collaborate with development teams to design and optimize database solutions.

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Oracle Database Administration and general Database Administration practices and protocols.
  • Proficiency in Replication and Troubleshooting to ensure database availability and performance under various scenarios.
  • Knowledge of Database Security methods and policies to proactively safeguard data integrity and privacy.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a remote environment.
  • Relevant certifications such as Oracle Database certifications or equivalent experience are highly desirable.
  • Experience with large-scale distributed systems or mission-critical applications is an added advantage.
