Overview

We are looking for a motivated and eager
WordPress Developer Intern
to join our development team. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring developer to learn web development best practices, SEO principles, and practical application of front-end and back-end technologies within the WordPress ecosystem under the guidance of senior developers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Website Development:
    Assist in developing, customizing, and maintaining high-quality WordPress websites, themes, and plugins.
  • Optimization:
    Support the team in optimizing website speed, performance, and SEO elements for better search engine ranking.
  • Troubleshooting & Bug Fixing:
    Debug and resolve technical issues and bugs related to website functionality and compatibility.
  • Maintenance & Updates:
    Help manage website content, perform regular updates, and ensure cross-browser compatibility.
  • Collaboration:
    Work closely with the Design and SEO teams to ensure designs are implemented accurately and technical SEO requirements are met.
  • Learning & Research:
    Stay updated with the latest WordPress, web development, and SEO trends.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education:
    Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/certification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or a related field.
  • WordPress Familiarity:
    Basic understanding of the WordPress platform, including the difference between themes and plugins.
  • Problem-Solving:
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Communication:
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Eagerness to Learn:
    A genuine passion for web development and a proactive, self-motivated approach to learning new technologies.

Preferred (Bonus) Skills

  • Familiarity with
    PHP
    and
    MySQL
    .
  • Basic understanding of
    SEO
    principles and tools.
  • Familiarity with page builders like
    Elementor
    or
    Gutenberg
    .
