Warehouse Supervisor (Retail Super Shop)

Job Description / Responsibility

1. Operational Management

  • Supervise daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods
  • Ensure accurate and timely handling of Super Shop merchandise to meet store and customer demand
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments and delivery schedule

2. Inventory Control

  • Monitor stock levels and ensure proper inventory rotation (FIFO/FEFO where applicable)
  • Conduct regular stock counts and audits to minimize discrepancies
  • Investigate and resolve inventory shortages, damages, or losses

3. Staff Supervision

  • Lead, train, and supervise warehouse staff, loaders, and storekeepers
  • Assign daily tasks and monitor employee performance and productivity
  • Ensure staff follow company policies, safety rules, and standard operating procedures

4. Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce workplace health and safety standards
  • Ensure proper use of equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and safety gear
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment

5. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records for goods received, issued, and returned
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly warehouse reports
  • Coordinate with accounts, procurement, and store operations team

6. Quality Control

  • Ensure goods are stored properly to prevent damage or spoilage
  • Check quality and quantity of received goods against invoices and purchase orders
  • Handle damaged or expired products according to company policy

7. Coordination & Communication

  • Liaise with store managers, suppliers, transporters, and logistics teams
  • Resolve delivery issues and operational bottlenecks efficiently
  • Support promotional or seasonal stock planning

8. Process Improvement

  • Identify areas to improve warehouse efficiency and reduce costs
  • Implement better storage layouts and workflow processes
  • Assist management in achieving operational KPIs

9. Key Skills Required

  • Leadership and team management
  • Inventory and warehouse management systems
  • Basic computer and reporting skills
  • Problem-solving and time management
  • Knowledge of retail/FMCG warehouse operations
