Bilingual Content Writer – Food Industry (Bengali & English)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Bilingual Content Writer (Bengali & English) who is passionate about food, culture, and storytelling. The ideal candidate will have experience writing compelling, high-quality content in both languages and a deep understanding of regional food trends, traditions, and consumer behavior.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write clear, engaging, and culturally relevant content in both Bengali and English across blogs, social media, email newsletters, product descriptions, packaging, and website.
  • Localize global content for Bengali-speaking audiences, and vice versa, ensuring tone, meaning, and emotion are preserved.
  • Collaborate with marketing, design, and product teams to align content with campaign goals and brand voice.
  • Conduct research on food trends, cultural narratives, ingredients, and seasonal topics relevant to both language groups.
  • Edit and proofread bilingual content to maintain consistency, accuracy, and high quality.
  • Manage a content calendar and ensure timely delivery of all assets.
  • Stay updated on SEO best practices and apply them across digital content.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in content writing, copywriting, or journalism (preferably in the food, FMCG, or lifestyle sector).
  • Fluency in Bengali and English – both written and spoken, with proven writing samples in each.
  • Strong understanding of Bengali food culture, language nuances, and regional dialects.
  • Ability to write content that resonates with diverse customer segments – from urban English-speaking audiences to native Bengali readers.
  • Experience in SEO and digital content strategy.
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms like WordPress or Shopify.
  • Attention to detail, creativity, and a passion for food storytelling.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Arts & Literature, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience working with bilingual brands or multicultural content.
  • Basic knowledge of design or content tools (Canva, Adobe Suite) is a plus.
