Job Summary:

AIHCON BD is hiring a Medical Biller and Coder to support US-based healthcare practices. The role involves coding patient records, preparing claims, and managing the revenue cycle. Strong English communication, Excel skills, and knowledge of billing workflows are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Medical Coding:

Review clinical documentation and accurately assign ICD-10 and CPT codes in line with federal and payer-specific guidelines.

Ensure coding aligns with documented services and supports maximum reimbursement.

  1. Billing Support:

Verify and complete encounter forms and superbills.

Identify and correct coding errors that lead to claim rejections or denials.

Assist in claim tracking, posting payments, and managing accounts receivable.

  1. Client Communication:

Coordinate with US-based providers and practice staff to resolve coding and billing queries.

Provide clear documentation and justification for coding decisions.

Maintain consistent and professional communication via email and calls.

  1. Reporting & Analysis:

Use Microsoft Excel to prepare detailed reports on claims status, denials, payments, provider productivity, and revenue trends.

Apply Excel functions like VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, filters, and conditional formatting for data analysis and visualization.

  1. Compliance & Updates:

Ensure full HIPAA compliance and maintain the confidentiality of all patient and practice data.

Stay up to date with the latest changes in coding standards, payer rules, and billing procedures.

Follow internal workflows and contribute to improving billing processes.

Education & Skills:

  1. Bachelor's degree (mandatory)– preferably in Business or CSE discipline.

  2. 1–2 years of experience in US medical billing and coding (well-trained freshers may be considered).

  3. Sound understanding of ICD-10 and CPT coding.

  4. Working knowledge of major insurance types: Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial payers.

  5. Strong English communication skills (both written and spoken) for interaction with US clients.

  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  7. Experience working with EHR/EMR systems such as:

Preferred Qualities:

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to handle confidential data with integrity.

Comfortable working independently or as part of a team.

Work Days: Saturday to Thursday

Work Hours: 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
