Manager - Inventory

Job Description / Responsibility

  • Optimize inventory management:
    Reducing excess inventory by clearing wastage items, review and ensuring effective usability of Non-moving and Slow-moving items to minimize inventory loss. Space management and monitoring optimum space utilization of Inventory.
  • Efficient inventory workforce distribution:
    Ensure timely materials receiving, proper storing and skill development of staff to meet business goals.
  • Ensure Full Compliance with Policies & Regulations:
    Enforce adherence to internal control policies (6S, FIFO, FEFO, inventory authorization matrix), Oracle EBS transaction protocols, statutory requirements, and company SOPs.
  • Oversee Data Accuracy & System Integrity:
    Monitor and validate the accuracy of item master data, transaction postings, and real-time stock balances in Oracle EBS. Ensure system integrity through periodic audits and reconciliation with physical and financial records.
  • Lead Regular Physical Inventory Counting & Reconciliations:
    Plan and execute complete physical inventory verification at least once per fiscal year via structured cycle counts. Ensure timely reconciliation of stock variances with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Monitor High-Risk Transactions & Resolve Discrepancies:
    Track high-value, high-movement, or exception transactions (e.g., adjustments, scrap, rework, inter-unit transfers). Investigate anomalies, prevent potential losses, and maintain accountability through proper documentation.
  • Drive Continuous Process Improvement & Control Enhancement:
    Evaluate existing inventory processes to identify inefficiencies and risks. Implement process improvements to strengthen internal controls, enhance traceability, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Support Internal, Statutory & External Audits:
    Coordinate with internal audit, compliance, and external auditors. Prepare records, reports and supporting evidence to ensure transparent, timely audits with minimal non-compliance observations.
  • Develop Dashboards, MIS & Compliance Analytics:
    Design and maintain compliance dashboards and KPI reports for management review. Provide actionable insights on inventory trends, aging and risk exposures to support strategic decision-making.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor/Honors
  • Bachelor of Science (BSc)
  • Minimum graduation / BSc in Engineering from any reputed University.
  • Higher degree on supply chain management will get preference.
  • Skills Required: Store/ inventory, Inventory/ Store Management, Inventory Management, Inventory Audit, Inventory Control, Stock Inventory, Inventory Analysis, Inventory Store Management, Cost and Inventory Management, Warehouse Inventory Management

Experience Requirements

  • At least 10 year(s)
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Manufacturing (Light Engineering and Heavy Industry),Electronic Equipment/Home Appliances, Group of Companies, Inventory/Warehouse, Supply Chain

Additional Requirements

  • Must have minimum 10 years on hand experience on inventory management in large volume manufacturing factory.
  • Experienced Supply Chain Analyst with a demonstrated history of working in the import and export industry.
  • Candidate must have experience in ERP, Oracle EBS, IMS, Item Code related software.
