Senior Sourcing Analyst

This position is responsible for the operation of a department. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job related responsibilities and duties as assigned and/or necessary.

Essential Functions

• Supports sourcing activities according to an aligned supplier matrix.
• Supports cost negotiations based on an understanding of component pricing
• Supports sourcing projects.
• Develops product and market knowledge and industry know-how.
• Collects relevant data to formulate sourcing proposals.
• Supports buying trips, including pre-trip itinerary set up, cost negotiation, and finalization, to ensure the trip objectives are fully achieved.
• Ensures supplier quotations and samples are completed on a timely basis for appropriate decision making and to meet objectives.
• Supports the Global Supply Operations Center with daily operations as needed.
• Partners with Merchandise Quality Engineers on problems related to quality.
• Maintains and updates performance data for suppliers on a regular basis.
• Contributes to relevant business reports and recaps to better understand and manage sourcing activities.
• Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.
• Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.
