About the Role

You'll own the end-to-end ML program from data, modeling, and evaluation to backend

integration, productionization, and scale. You'll manage and grow a team of ML engineers,

backend developers and MLOps, set the technical direction, and partner closely with product

and backend engineering to ship reliable, measurable impact.

What You'll Do

Leadership & Strategy

● Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing ML organization (hiring, coaching, career

paths).

● Define the ML roadmap aligned to business outcomes and product strategy.

● Establish and enforce best practices for experimentation, governance, and

documentation.

Modeling & Applied Research

● Architect and optimize models for tabular datasets (feature engineering, deep tabular,

interpretability, Model Evaluation) also assist others on that.

● Lay foundations for computer vision and LLM models (data pipelines, labeling, model

baselines, evaluation suites, serving).

● Drive offline/online evaluation frameworks and A/B testing for model changes.

● Demonstrated hands-on experience working with PySpark for large-scale data

processing, as well as orchestrating workflows using Apache Airflow.

Backend & Platform (MLOps)

● Own production ML services end-to-end: data ingestion, training, packaging,

deployment, and monitoring.

● Design and review backend APIs/services that integrate ML into product flows (latency,

throughput, fallbacks).

● Build CI/CD for models and services (artifact/version management, canary/blue-green,

rollback).

● Operates in cloud-native environments AWS, Docker, IaC (e.g., Terraform),

observability (metrics, logs, traces), and alerting/SLOs.

● Partner with the backend to ensure reliability, security, cost-efficiency, and compliance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

● Work with product/design/stakeholders to translate business problems into measurable

ML objectives.

● Collaborate with data engineering on pipelines, quality checks, and governance.

● Communicate priorities, trade-offs, and timelines to execs and stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

Required

● 8+ years in ML/AI/DS/ML engineering, including 3+ years leading teams or technical

programs.

● Deep expertise in tabular ML (feature engineering, modeling, calibration,

interpretability).

● Backend engineering proficiency, including:

○ API & service design (REST/gRPC) and microservices architecture

○ One or more backend stacks: Python (FastAPI/Flask/Django) and/or

○ Datastores: PostgreSQL and NoSQL where appropriate

○ Caching & messaging: Redis, Kafka/RabbitMQ, task queues (e.g., Celery)

○ Testing (unit/integration), code quality, and security best practices

● Strong MLOps experience:

○ Model registry & versioning, feature stores, reproducible training

○ CI/CD for ML, containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes)

○ Monitoring: drift, data/feature health, performance, cost

● Proficiency with Python, PyTorch, FastAPI

● Proven delivery of ML systems in production at meaningful scale.

Nice to Have

● Distributed training & big data tooling (Spark, Ray, Dask).

● LLMs/embeddings, retrieval, or multi-modal pipelines.

● Experience in SaaS/enterprise platforms and B2B product environments.

Salary & Benefits

Competitive Salary: 225,000 to 275,000 BDT before taxes (Based on experience and expertise)
