About the Job

To provide functional expertise in packaging and lead packaging-related projects, technical changes, and cost-improvement initiatives at Marico Bangladesh Limited, based at the Head Office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise on structure, material composition, and manufacturing processes of packaging formats (rigid plastics, flexibles, paper boxes, tubes, caps & closures).
  • Manage end-to-end packaging development projects from concept to commercialization.
  • Drive packaging innovation and implement new solutions aligned with market needs.
  • Evaluate and develop packaging materials and suppliers through line trials and validation of moulds, processes, and equipment.
  • Lead supplier innovation while ensuring compliance with quality, sustainability, and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate with central packaging, marketing, procurement, manufacturing, and quality teams.
  • Track and deliver projects on time, within budget, and as per the agreed scope.
  • Oversee installation, commissioning, and qualification (MQR) of moulds (EBM, IM, ISBM), including mono/bi-color machines.
  • Provide technical inputs on pack design and specifications for tube formats (Co-Ex, ABL, PBL) and conduct validation trials at factory and converter sites.
  • Guide printing development across processes (flexo, offset, screen, rotogravure) with expertise in artwork, color, and specifications.
  • Lead cost optimization initiatives in packaging.
  • Partner with the QA team to reduce packaging material–related defects.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5 -7 years of progressive experience in packaging materials, moulds, machines, processes (plastics, paperboard, etc.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (B.Sc) from any reputed university.
  • A degree from the Indian Institute of Packaging is preferred; other packaging-related qualifications will be an added advantage.
  • Proven project management experience with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management capabilities.
