The Data Engineer will design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and architectures to support analytical and operational needs across the organization. This role is ideal for a technically skilled professional passionate about building efficient data systems and optimizing performance within Australia's dynamic business environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes

• Integrate data from multiple sources into centralized systems for analysis and reporting

• Optimize database performance and ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability

• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business teams to support data-driven initiatives

• Implement data governance, security, and compliance best practices

• Develop and maintain documentation for data models, workflows, and system configurations

• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and system inefficiencies

• Stay updated with emerging technologies in cloud computing, big data, and automation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field

• 2–5 years of experience in data engineering, database management, or similar roles

• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop)

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

• Strong understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and integration techniques

• Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Prefect)

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
