Job Context
Uttaran is an NGO working in Bangladesh since 1985 to uphold rights and entitlements and to improve the socio-economic condition of the poor and disadvantaged community people. Uttaran is a people-centered organization using a rights-based approach to alleviate poverty, diversify livelihood opportunities and empower poor communities of Bangladesh.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
- The Consortium Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the project and ensuring its successful implementation. Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Leadership and Coordination
- Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the consortium partners for effective project implementation.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all consortium members, ensuring alignment with project goals and donor requirements.
- Facilitate regular consortium meetings to review progress, address challenges, and plan activities.
- Represent the consortium in national and international forums, promoting the project's objectives and outcomes.
Project Management
- Oversee the development and execution of project work plans, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Monitor and evaluate project activities across all consortium partners to ensure quality and impact.
- Foster collaboration among partners to leverage expertise and resources.
- Ensure compliance with donor regulations and organizational policies.
Reporting and Documentation
- Prepare high-quality project reports, including progress updates, financial reports, and impact assessments, for submission to donors and stakeholders.
- Ensure the proper documentation and sharing of lessons learned, best practices, and success stories.
- Develop advocacy materials to highlight project achievements and influence policy discussions.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain effective relationships with government agencies, donors, private sector actors, and community representatives.
- Advocate for policy and institutional changes to support the sustainable management of marine resources.
- Promote gender equality and social inclusion in all aspects of the project.
Risk and Resource Management
- Identify potential risks to the project and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure efficient allocation and utilization of financial and human resources.
- Support capacity building for consortium members and field teams.

Educational Requirements
- Masters
- Master's degree in Fisheries, Environmental Science, Development Studies, Marine Science, or a related field.
Additional Requirements
- At least 7–10 years of experience in leading large-scale consortium-based projects, preferably in marine conservation or livelihood development.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and team-building skills.
- Proven experience in working with multi-stakeholder partnerships, including NGOs, INGOs, government agencies, and donors.
- Excellent communication and advocacy skills in English and Bangla.
- Strong understanding of gender and social inclusion principles.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and deliver results under tight deadlines.
