Role Description

As an IoT Developer at CIS Tech Ltd, you will take ownership of designing and implementing connected devices and edge systems that bridge hardware and cloud platforms.

You will work with microcontrollers, sensors, wireless modules, and cloud APIs to create robust, secure, and scalable IoT products. This is a hands-on role involving firmware programming, hardware integration, and cloud connectivity, while collaborating with electronics, software, and data teams. You'll also explore emerging technologies like edge AI and use generative-AI tools to streamline development and testing.

Job Description / Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy IoT devices, sensors, and edge solutions (hardware & software).
• Research, prototype, and document IoT solutions from proof-of-concept to production-ready systems.
• Develop firmware, middleware, and device applications for seamless connectivity and operation.
• Implement and optimize communication protocols and connectivity: GSM, Wi-Fi, BLE, Zigbee, LoRa, RF, etc.
• Work with microcontrollers and embedded platforms: ESP32, STM32, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ARM-based boards.
• Integrate IoT cloud platforms (AWS IoT, Azure IoT Hub, Google IoT Core, or open-source alternatives).
• Ensure device-to-cloud security, encryption, and OTA updates.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and data teams to deliver complete IoT products.
• Keep up with trends in IoT, AI, and Edge Computing; propose innovative solutions.
• Use generative AI tools to accelerate development, documentation, and testing.

Educational Requirements

• B.Sc. in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE), Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Mechatronics Engineering (MTE), or a related discipline.
• Equivalent hands-on experience will also be considered.

Experience Requirements

• 1.5–2.5 years of relevant experience in IoT/embedded systems preferred.
• Fresh graduates with excellent project experience are encouraged to apply.

Additional Requirements

• Strong programming skills in Embedded C/C++ and Python.
• Experience with firmware development and hardware integration.
• Solid understanding of IoT architecture, protocols, and security principles.
• Hands-on experience with sensors (digital, analog, industrial grade) and actuators.
• Knowledge of cloud integration, databases (SQL/NoSQL/time-series), and dashboards.
• Familiarity with PCB design, power management, and circuit design.
• Basic knowledge of AI/ML at the edge is a plus.
• Innovative mindset, problem-solving ability, and good documentation skills.
