General Manager (Accounts & Finance)

Job Description / Responsibility

The General Manager – Accounts & Finance will lead the finance and accounts division of the hotel, ensuring robust financial management, compliance, and strategic support to drive profitability.

  • Oversee all financial and accounting operations of the hotel.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies in alignment with the hotel's business objectives.
  • Prepare and analyze budgets, forecasts, financial statements, and management reports.
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial performance to ensure stability and growth.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, accounting standards, tax laws, and audit requirements.
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls and risk management frameworks.
  • Supervise accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and revenue recognition processes.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management for decision-making.
  • Liaise with auditors, bankers, investors, and other external stakeholders.
  • Drive automation, ERP implementation, and continuous improvements in financial systems.

Educational Requirements

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA)
  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (MBA preferred).
  • Professional certifications such as CA, CMA, ACCA, or CPA are highly desirable.

Experience Requirements

  • 10 to 15 year(s)
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Hotel

Additional Requirements

  • 10–15 years of progressive finance and accounts experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of hospitality finance, international accounting standards, and tax regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, financial software, and advanced Excel.
