Job Description / Responsibility

Position Purpose

The Executive-Purchase is responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials, components, and services required for Jamuna Fan & Cables Ltd. The role supports uninterrupted production and operations by maintaining optimal supplier relationships, negotiating favorable terms, and ensuring compliance with company policies and quality standards. The position contributes directly to cost control, inventory optimization, and the overall efficiency of the supply chain.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Source and evaluate suppliers for materials and services.
  • Collect quotations and negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders and related documents.
  • Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
  • Coordinate with Production, Store, and Accounts for procurement needs.
  • Maintain records of purchases, suppliers, and pricing.
  • Ensure all purchased items meet required quality and specifications.
  • Assist in controlling procurement costs and monitoring market prices.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the Management

Educational Requirements

  • Skills Required: Purchase/ Procurement, Purchase, Purchase and Procurement

Experience Requirements

  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
  • Manufacturing (Light Engineering and Heavy Industry),Electric Wire/Cable

Experience·

  • 2–4 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain roles.
  • Experience in manufacturing, electronics, or cable/fan industry is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience in supplier sourcing, negotiation, and purchase order processing.
  • Familiarity with inventory systems and procurement software is an advantage.
  • Preferred skills and qualifications:
  • Masters/Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier sourcing, and market analysis.
  • Good negotiation, communication, and networking skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with ERP/Inventory management software.
  • Ability to analyze pricing, compare quotations, and ensure cost-effective purchasing.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple purchase requirements.
  • Basic understanding of quality standards for materials used in fan and cable manufacturing (preferred).
