Billing Officer

Job Description / Responsibility

Rangpur Community Medical College Hospital is reputed private hospital in northern part of Bangladesh. We are looking for immediate recruitment for the above post and inviting applications for its "Hospital Billing section"

• Prepare and process invoices, payments, and expense reports.
• Resolve billing issues and discrepancies with customers·
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and general ledger entries & Journal Entries·
• Prepare Daily Receipt & Payment Statement
• Assist in implementing the day-to-day functions of the Inpatient Billing department.
• Assure that patient information records are appropriately filled.
• Record payments received to appropriate log.
• Process and post charge slips to patient accounts.
• Assist in balancing accounts receivable, verifying computer printouts etc.
  • Receiving patients and help them to fill out the necessary forms.
• Perform secretarial functions as necessary or directed.
  • Assist in reconciling statements as directed.
• Assist in standardizing the methods in which work will be accomplished.
• Assist in preparing financial and statistical reports as directed.
• Develop and utilize computer reports and output.
• Assist in preparing and implementation of changes in our accounting system as necessary or directed.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial statements to include preparing balance sheets & income reports.
• Data entry on all billing charges and supplies.
• Maintain billing and payment log and complete all crossovers billing as necessary or directed.
• Prepare and review invoices for customers.
• Process and track payments, ensuring timely settlements.
• Address billing discrepancies and resolve disputes with vendors and clients.
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions related to accounts and billing.
• Prepare reports on expenditures, outstanding payments, and cost analysis.
• Customer ledger updates with the current information.
• Should have the basic idea about tally software.
• Keep Records for the accounts and Finance input in hospital Software.
• Carry out other related duties as and when assigned by the Management.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Accounting
• Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting
• Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Business Studies
• Skills Required: Accounting, Bill Processing, Hospital and clinic

Experience Requirements

• At least 2 year(s)
• The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
• clinical research center, Diagnostic center, Hospital Diagnostics, Lab and Diagnostics, Medical Technologist/ Lab Operator
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
• Hospital

Additional Requirements

• 2 years practical experience regarding billing section in any hospital or diagnostic Centre.
• Educational qualification may be relaxed for highly deserving candidates.
