Role Description

This full-time on-site role is based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The Primary Years Teacher is responsible for designing and delivering engaging, inquiry-based lessons in alignment with SDIS's curriculum. Responsibilities include fostering critical thinking, supporting students in achieving personal goals, managing the classroom environment, and collaborating with colleagues to create an impactful and positive learning experience. Teachers will monitor and evaluate student progress, maintain detailed records, and communicate effectively with parents to support the holistic development of every child.

  • Expertise in teaching methodologies, curriculum design, and creating engaging lesson plans
  • Proficiency in classroom management, facilitating collaborative learning, and maintaining a supportive environment
  • Skills in assessing student progress, tracking academic performance, and providing constructive feedback
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster connections with students, staff, and parents
  • Commitment to professional development and the ability to adapt to innovative teaching approaches
  • A Bachelor's degree in Education, Child Development, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Experience with international education systems and inquiry-based learning is a plus
  • Passion for nurturing young minds and helping children reach their full potential
