Jawda is a fast-growing premium modest-wear brand based in London, known for designing all pieces in-house and producing high-quality garments with ethical standards.

We are expanding our operations by
setting up a new production facility near Dhaka
, and we are looking for a highly capable, trustworthy leader to manage this new operation from the ground up.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day factory operations, ensuring smooth production and timely delivery to the UK.
  • Manage and develop a team of tailors, cutters, QC staff, and support workers.
  • Handle stock, fabric, trims, and supply chain management efficiently.
  • Ensure shipments are packed, documented, and dispatched correctly to London.
  • Work closely with the London HQ team for production planning, timelines, and cost control.
  • Recruit staff, build the production team, and set up workflow systems.
  • Ensure quality standards are met across all garments.
  • Apply strong intuition, problem-solving, and high work ethic daily.
  • Maintain full integrity, reliability, and transparency across all operations.

Experience Required

  • 3+ years experience in garment manufacturing, ideally in women's wear
  • Proven experience managing factory floors, production lines, QC teams, or sample rooms.
  • Strong background in fabric sourcing, supplier coordination, and garment construction.
  • Experience handling export shipments, customs documentation, packing lists, and UK/EU shipping standards.
  • Track record of building or scaling a production team (supervisors, tailors, cutters, helpers).
  • Prior experience working with UK, EU, or Middle Eastern brands is a strong advantage.
  • Must be based in Dhaka or surrounding areas.

Skill Set Required

  • Able to effectively use Google Sheets, Google Drive, Google Docs, and basic cloud systems.
  • Strong ability to track inventory, manage SKUs, and forecast fabric usage.
  • Confident communicator who can liaise with London team daily (WhatsApp, Slack, video calls, shared docs).
  • Strong quality-control mindset — able to spot stitching faults, fabric issues, and pattern inconsistencies.
  • Highly organised with the ability to set up production calendars, cutting plans, and workflows.
  • Problem-solving and intuitive decision-making under pressure.
  • Trustworthy, reliable, and able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Leadership ability: can motivate a team, enforce discipline, and maintain a positive environment.
  • Basic English communication for coordination with the UK is essential.
