Role Description

The Assistant News Editor will be responsible for managing the day-to-day editorial workflow, editing and reviewing news articles, assigning stories, and ensuring adherence to journalistic standards. Additional responsibilities include writing and producing high-quality news content, monitoring news trends, collaborating with the newsroom team, and utilizing new media tools for content dissemination. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Dhaka.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in News Writing, Journalism, and Writing
  • Experience with Editorial processes and content management systems
  • Familiarity with New Media trends and tools for digital content publication
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for team collaboration
  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field
  • Previous experience in an editorial role is highly desirable
