Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for Trading in Heavy Gabbro, located in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The role involves managing the procurement, sales, and distribution of heavy gabbro materials. Day-to-day responsibilities include sourcing suppliers, building and maintaining client relationships, negotiating contracts, managing logistics, and ensuring timely delivery. The role also includes market analysis, preparing accurate reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant trade regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience in procurement, supply chain management, and logistics related to heavy materials trade
- Strong skills in negotiation, client relationship management, and vendor communication
- Ability to conduct market analysis, prepare detailed reports, and utilize trade data effectively
- Familiarity with international trade practices and compliance regulations
- Proficiency in business communication and organizational skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Prior experience in the trading or construction material industry is a plus
- Proficiency in operating relevant tools and technology for business operations

Role Summary
This is a high-impact, full-time on-site role for a strategic leader to establish and lead our Heavy Gabbro trading vertical. The position entails full P&L responsibility and requires direct reporting to the Board of Directors. You will be accountable for building the entire business unit—from supplier partnerships and client acquisition to logistics and compliance—transforming it into a significant revenue stream for the Group.
Key Responsibilities
· Strategy & Leadership: Develop and execute the comprehensive trading strategy for Heavy Gabbro, presenting business plans, performance metrics, and market insights directly to the Board.
· End-to-End Business Management: Oversee the entire trade cycle: global sourcing, contract negotiation, sales, logistics, risk management, and financial performance.
· High-Level Relationship Management: Build and maintain strategic relationships with international suppliers, key institutional clients (large construction/infrastructure firms), shipping lines, and port authorities.
· Market Intelligence & Expansion: Conduct deep market analysis to identify new opportunities, mitigate risks, and recommend strategic pivots or expansions to the Board.
· Compliance & Governance: Ensure all operations adhere to international trade laws, Bangladeshi import regulations, and the highest standards of corporate governance, reporting any critical issues directly to the Board.
· Team Building: As the vertical grows, recruit and lead a high-performing team to support procurement, logistics, and sales operations.
Reporting Structure & Accountability
· You will report directly to the Board of Directors of Madina Group.
· You are accountable for the vertical's profitability, strategic direction, risk management, and overall success.
· You will prepare and present quarterly business reviews, annual budgets, and strategic proposals to the Board.
Qualifications & Experience
· Proven Leadership: Minimum 8-10 years of senior experience in international trading, specifically in heavy bulk materials (aggregates, minerals, clinker, cement, etc.).
· Strategic Vision: Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a business plan from the ground up, with a clear understanding of P&L management.
· Board-Level Communication: Exceptional presentation, reporting, and communication skills, with the poise and analytical depth to engage effectively with a Board of Directors.
· Established Network: Strong existing network with international suppliers of gabbro/granite/aggregates and major buyers in the construction/infrastructure sector.
· Mastery of Trade Operations: Expert knowledge of international logistics (chartering, INCOTERMS), supply chain finance (LCs, trade finance), and import/export compliance.
· Educational Credential: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field required; an MBA or Master's is highly preferred.
· Industry Background: Prior experience in the construction materials trading industry within Bangladesh or the South Asian region is a significant advantage.
