custom Learning Management System (LMS)
, and now we are expanding its capabilities to better serve our students and teachers.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Back-End Developer (Laravel) to strengthen our technical team located in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The role will focus on
building REST APIs
and extending features of our
custom LMS
, ensuring seamless integrations and scalable performance. Additionally, this role will involve maintaining and optimizing existing systems, troubleshooting and fixing bugs, and writing clean, scalable code. The developer will also be expected to participate in code reviews and contribute to the continual improvement of development processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, document, and maintain
    RESTful APIs
    for the LMS.
  • Enhance and optimize the backend system using
    Laravel (PHP)
    .
  • Collaborate with front-end developers, designers, and educators to deliver user-friendly solutions.
  • Ensure application
    security, scalability, and performance
    .
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and continuously improve existing features.
  • Integrate third-party services and tools where needed.

Qualifications

  • Back-End Web Development and Software Development skills with
    Laravel (PHP)
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing
    REST APIs
    .
  • Solid understanding of
    databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL)
    .
  • Proficiency in
    Object-Oriented Programming
    (OOP)
  • Strong Programming skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Ability to work well in a
    team-oriented
    environment
  • Experience with
    Laravel is a must
  • Good understanding of web technologies including
    HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX

Not Mandatory

  • Experience with
    Front-End
    Development is a
    plus
  • Experience with
    LMS/EdTech
    systems is a
    plus
    .
  • Knowledge of the
    British Curriculum
    is a
    plus
    .
