Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Sous Chef located in Sylhet. The Sous Chef will assist the Executive Chef in planning and executing menus, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring food quality and consistency. The role includes preparing and cooking dishes, overseeing kitchen operations, maintaining kitchen equipment, and ensuring health and safety standards are upheld. Collaboration with team members and mentoring junior staff are essential parts of the role.
Qualifications
- Strong culinary skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and menu planning
- Experience with kitchen operations, team coordination, and monitoring food quality
- Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene regulations in food services
- Leadership and mentorship abilities to train and guide kitchen staff
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and maintain attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members
- Professional culinary certification or degree and experience in a luxury hotel or fine dining establishment preferred
