Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Network Technician with expertise in optical fiber technology and UTP structured cabling. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of fiber optic and copper cabling systems that support high-speed voice, data, and video communication networks. This role involves working in both new construction and operational environments to ensure reliable and standards-compliant network infrastructure.

Job Responsibility:

1. Install, terminate, splice, and test fiber optic cables (single-mode and multi-mode) and UTP network cabling systems.
2. Perform testing and certification of copper and fiber links using tools such as OTDRs, power meters, light sources, and cable certifiers (e.g., Fluke testers).
3. Install and maintain patch panels, cable trays, conduits, racks, and network cabinets.
4. Configure and support networking hardware, including switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, and VoIP systems.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues related to both fiber optic and Cat6 copper cabling.
6. Read and interpret network diagrams, blueprints, and cable run schematics.
7. Document all cabling infrastructure, fiber splice trays, patching layouts, and testing results.
8. Follow all safety and building codes, as well as cabling standards (e.g., TIA/EIA, ANSI, BICSI).
9. Support network expansions, relocations, and infrastructure upgrades in data centers, offices, and field locations.
10. Coordinate with IT teams, contractors, and vendors for project implementation.

Additional Requirements:

Qualifications:

1. Diploma or associate degree in Telecommunications, Information Technology, Networking, or a related field.
2. Certifications preferred: FOA CFOT, BICSI Installer/Technician, CompTIA Network+, or vendor-specific (e.g., Cisco CCNA).

Experience:

1. Proven experience in installing and testing UTP cabling and fiber optic systems.
2. Proficiency with tools such as fusion splicers, OTDRs, cable testers, and punch-down tools.

Others Requirements:

1. Valid Passport (minimum 1-year validity).
2. Candidates previously block-listed in Saudi Arabia are not eligible.
3. Candidates with previous GAMCA medical unfit status are not allowed.
4. Good communication and interpersonal skills
5. Gulf returnees will be preferred.
6. Must be experienced.
7. Driving License
