Location: South Banasree, Dhaka, Bangladesh
Mega Sourcing and Merchandising, established in 2011 in Bangladesh, is a prominent apparel buying house. Our extensive history in the apparel sector and our successful collaborations with global buyers are a source of great pride.
We are seeking experienced candidates from Buying Houses only for the position of Merchandiser,
Job Responsibilities
Manage the complete process from product development to shipment.
Independently prepare and handle accurate costing sheets.
Source and procure trims, accessories, and fabrics prior to production.
Negotiate prices and confirm orders with buyers.
Oversee fabric consumption, knitting, dyeing, sewing, and shipment processes.
Collect competitive quotations and follow up on buyer confirmations.
Monitor sample development and production to ensure buyer requirements are met.
Communicate with buyers regarding technical clarifications.
Review fit, pre-production, and production samples with the technical team.
Prepare purchase orders, internal orders, and costing sheets.
Maintain weekly progress reports and update management on any exceptions.
Coordinate with production, quality, and commercial teams for timely shipments.
Ensure top management is regularly updated on production activities.
Perform any other tasks assigned by management.
Educational Requirements
Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Engineering
Bachelor's Degree in Textile Engineering or a related field.
Experience Requirements
4 to 6 year(s)
Qualifications & Experience
Experience: 4–6 years of experience exclusively in apparel buying houses.
Skills Required
Strong computer and merchandising skills.
Proven ability to do garment costing independently.
Fluency in English (spoken, written, and listening).
Ability to prepare professional reports and correspondence in English.
Strong decision-making ability under critical situations.
Sound knowledge of apparel manufacturing and retail.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time-management skills.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
