Investment Opportunities Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Investment Officer to join our team and contribute to the advancement of financial markets in emerging economies. As a key member of our Upstream and Advisory Services department, you will play a critical role in identifying and developing new investment opportunities that promote sustainable growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and convene suitable teams/functions across the World Bank Group for the implementation of high-quality Upstream initiatives and interventions.
• Work with country teams to create new products involving specific sectors in the market by preparing sector-specific data analysis, stress testing models, engaging in dialogue with stakeholders, and information sharing across the World Bank Group.
• Identify and help implement sector and regulatory reforms that are needed to unlock opportunities for private investment.
• Develop feasibility studies and implementation plans for Upstream projects that lead to IFC investments.
• Contribute to the development and approval of relevant advisory project proposals and project documents, including concept notes, implementation plans, and budgets, for complex projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• A Master's degree in finance, economics, or other related areas is required.
• At least 8 years of relevant financial markets experience in emerging markets is required.
• Experience in risk management, particularly credit risk and underwriting, credit model development is an added advantage.
• Candidates with MBA, CPA, or CFA qualifications have an advantage.
