Job Description:
- As an Operations Strategic Advisor, you will act as an advisor to Senior Management on all aspects of Country Office management and operations.
- You will lead the establishment and maintenance of efficient CO business processes and standardized internal Standard Operating Procedures.
- Advise and advocate for the development and management of new and innovative operational business practices and activities.
- Lead and provide oversight to day-to-day management of the Operations team, including human resources, finance, procurement, and administration.
- Ensure support to Field Offices and other clients, including UN agencies, through proper planning and tracking of common services budget and Agencies' contributions.
- Manage security of UNDP personnel and assets by ensuring compliance with security policy and implementing Business Continuity Planning.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Advanced university degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Management, Economics, or related field.
- Minimum ten years of senior-level working experience in operations, preferably in a developing country context.
- Experience in managing complex operations, programme support, and operational systems in a large country setting.
- Effective people management and leading large, diverse teams are required.
- Demonstrated ability in financial management, human resources, and procurement in a developing country context.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
