UNICEF is seeking an experienced Education Specialist to join our team in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving innovation in refugee education and supporting the development of teacher training programs.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the education sector response in Cox's Bazar and make a meaningful difference in the lives of refugee children.

As an Education Specialist, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing EdTech initiatives and teacher training programs. You will work closely with our team to ensure the effective integration of technology into teaching practices and support the development of a formal education curriculum for Rohingya children.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong background in education technology and a passion for improving learning outcomes for refugee children.

About the Job

This is a temporary appointment for a period of 12 months, with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will be based in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh, and will report to the Education Manager.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $70,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead specific teacher training programs and technology component of the education program
  • Programme management, monitoring and delivery of results
  • Technical and operational support for the development of teacher training programs
  • Networking and partnership building to support teacher training and the use of technology in education programming
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you will need to have:

  • An advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in education technology
  • At least 5 years of technical experience in education focusing on Edtech, curriculum, instruction, pedagogies, teacher training, and professional development
  • Experience in contributing to technical knowledge and expertise in education and EdTech fields, working with external partners and stakeholders in a multinational and multi-disciplinary environment
